Fall 2008
The ENTS Program Office will award scholarships to students for the Fall 2008 semester. Scholarships range from $250- $3500. For consideration of any scholarship, please closely follow all application guidelines.

ENTS Academic Scholarship
The ENTS Program awards an academic scholarship to students on the basis of academic excellence and financial need. The academic scholarship normally ranges from $250 to $1000. (Open to all enrolled ENTS students.)
1. On a cover sheet, please provide your current mailing address, email address, phone number, and student ID number. (If you have received a social security number, please submit that and not your old student ID number.)
2. A one to two page (double spaced, typed) essay expressing why you should receive a M.S. in Telecommunications scholarship. This essay could include your plans after completing your telecom degree, any specific personal or financial hardship issues you face, and any telecommunications projects, certifications or awards you have received that may differentiate your application from others.
3. An unofficial copy of your University of Maryland graduate transcripts.
4. Are you a past recipient of an ENTS scholarship? If so, in which semester did you receive the scholarship and how much were you awarded?
5. Are you currently employed? If so, where do you work?
6. Do you currently have an assistantship or financial aid here at the University of Maryland? If so, what is your title and where do you work?

ENTS Assistantship Scholarship
An additional monetary amount is granted to all ENTS students who receive graduate assistantships. The scholarship amount is dependent upon the amount of ENTS credits a student takes during the semester. (Only open to students who have already been granted graduate assistantships.)
1. An unofficial copy of your University of Maryland graduate transcripts.
2. A copy of a signed offer letter from the department you will be working for, stating that you have been awarded an assistantship with tuition remission for the Fall 2007 semester.
3. The offer letter must contain the number of credits eligible for remission, the amount per credit to be remitted and a point of contact in the awarding unit.
