Degree Requirements

Requirements for the M.S. degree in Telecommunications include completing 33 credit hours of course work with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0/4.0. These 33 credits include eight courses required for all students, two elective courses, two credit hours of seminar, and three credit hours for a project.
The following eight regular three credit courses are required for all students:
- 12 credit hours of technical coursework
- ENTS 620 Principles of Telecommunications
- ENTS 621 Design and Analysis of Telecommunication Systems
- ENTS 640 Telecommunication Networks
- ENTS 641 Communication Protocols
- 6 credit hours of coursework on telecommunications policy and regulation
- ENTS 630 The Economics of International Telecommunications Policy and Regulation
- ENTS 635 Decision Support Methods for Telecommunication Managers
- 6 credit hours of coursework on telecommunications management
- ENTS 625 Management and Organizational Behavior in the Telecommunications Industry
- ENTS 632 Telecommunications Marketing Management
Two electives must be chosen from the following list:
- ENTS 650 Network Security
- ENTS 652 Network Software Design and Performance
- ENTS 655 Digital Signal Processing
- ENTS 660 Network Management
- ENTS 662 Telecommunication Innovations in Business
- ENTS 656 Introduction to Cellular Communication Networks
- ENTS 689 Special Topics in Telecommunications
All students must complete a project worth 3 credit hours by taking:
- ENTS 609 Telecommunications Project
Tuition and Fees
This program is a differential tuition program. Tuition is $853.00 per
credit hour for US citizens, permanent residents, and international
students.
